Macs at Maleka (335/365)
the moment i land at Melaka and found out there there is a macs opposite my hotel, i dived in after putting down my bags. and nope, i am not a fan of Macs, especially in Singapore. But i like to explore different countries' macs and try their chicken. because different place really taste differently. Melaka's chicken is nice-- that is my conclusion. Yums

Clogs! (334/365)
Traditions, traditions.
I remember days when my grandma will wear these clogs. Not wear them outdoor though, she wear them in the master bedroom's toilet. And i remember the days when the loud clocking sound is heard, i know she is going into that toilet to do her business.
Nowadays, don't know which dialect, but some uses clogs as wedding's pin li. The day where the groom comes and give the bride all the gifts. Forgot what is the meaning of it as well. But i know i won't want to have them. If loud shoes has to be given, i rather choose and click clock heels! Haha, it can be red!

innovative cereals
I think this is a really good and innovative idea for cereals! convenient and serves the purpose of many! mums can pack into their kids' bag to bring to school to have during their recess break, young working adults can stock up in their office for a quick morning breakfast or afternoon snack.
perhaps I should feedback and ask them to bring to singapore! will you buy these kind of cereals if it were available in Singapore?

Decorated podium (333/365)
i couldn't find a decent picture for the day and so this decorated make shift podium would have to do. this is indeed a season of christmas and decorations. even podiums outside restaurants are decorated nicely. to go with the whole fill. i think one year really pass very fast. now, everywhere is decorated with the Christmas feel and before we know it, countdown to new year will be here! and soon, cny will be here and everywhere around us will be docorated differently again.

my Nike bag
guess how old is this bag?
6 years!!! yes, it's so old! no wonder it's so worn out already. this was probably one of the more expensive bags that I ever bought and considering i bought it so many years ago. got it from during my very first overseas trip on my own to hong kong! actually this bag holds quite a lot of significance. it was also during that time that i started being obsessed with the colour green. I remembered during that trip most of the apparels I ended up buying had green in them!
that hong kong trip was particularly memorable and special. bought it with my first pay and kinda my first proper part time job after the a levels. how much I've grown since then mans..

iPhone covers
my good friends will know my obsession with iPhone covers. ok not anymore but when I first bought my iPhone. I just kept buying iPhone covers. and as you can see, my love for green is displayed in my purchase of my iPhone covers as well. I have different types of green covers!
I think I have over 10 iPhone covers. but you know what.. I'm kinda bored of them already. I'm tempted to buy more new covers yet the rational side of me knows it's wasting money! besides I am super tempted to get the iPhone 5! maybe when my contact expires next year. hmm...

No chocolates for Christmas please (332/365)
Someone showed me this Godiva chocolate cataloug brochure today, saying that she wants to shop for chocolates. Christmas is becoming, it is the season of love and gifts. I don't like to receive chocolates as gift. First because i don't have a sweet tooth but most importantly, chocolates seem like the easiest, most not creative and boring gift? Thoughtless i would say, because it is so easy to pop in a shop and buy chocolates as gift.
so yea, don't me chocolates for christmas.

Red belt (331/365)
i am not much of a belt person. if you have read all my posts, you would realise fashion is not my thing. I don't actually have a thing. I am random.
Anyway, so i never knew what kind of clothes to match belts with. But somehow when i see rows and rows of belts, i would have a urge to buy. Buy them in 3s and 4s somemore.
Now that i have this red belt, i should buy clothes to match it with.

crabby dinner
Mum decided to try her hand at making chilli crabs for dinner tonight. not a bad attempt I would say but I think the quality of the crabs failed her. the crabs were probably not fresh enough. the meat was miserly.
but the salted egg chilli paste was good! if only the crabs were more meaty. but for all the trouble and all, I think I would rather we go out to eat at the seafood restaurants!

Motorcycle (330/365)
Because of a very good friend of mine who rides a bike, i got to ride on a motorcycle as well. If without her, i cannot forsee how else would i have the opportunity to ride a bike. Riding a bike is both chilling and scary at the same time. You got to put your trust totally on the rider, especially when you are cornering or bending very low. But after riding her bike for several years, i do realised that i don't like a few things. Such as putting on a helmet. it kinda feels dirty, something pressing onto the side of my face, but it could be because i know she shares this helmet with alot more people other than me. Also, when it rains, the raindrops hit u real hard!! very painful when u are riding on a bike at high speed. Lastly, everytime i ride a bike, i come back and realised my limbs can get quite dusty, need to rub harder. So all in all, i still prefer a car, occasional ride is for fun! not as a lifelong transport for me

sim lim complex
i think that building is too messy and complex for me. it's filled with so many gadgets that it always overwhelms me not in a good way. and I feel like I would get cheated if I were to purchase anything on my own there. anyway my friend wanted to get monitor screens so i decided to accompany him after lunch since I had some time to kill. was kinda bored while he was negotiating prices and checking the different screen sizes. so I ended up taking pictures in the store. erm, isn't the great Singapore sales a few months back? the store is a little slow and never update their promotion collaterals eh?

A 2010 Christmas card (329/365)
Do you recognise this, partner? You gave this very nice handmade christmas card to me in 2010. I found this when i was spring cleaning. I am very very blessed to have friends around me who still does handmade cards. Trust me, i have a whole box of them. The boy will never understand why i want to keep all these for memories sake. I will never throw them away because such cards hold so much meaning to me and i would love to read them 20 years later. or even flaunt them to my kids. haha

Citygolf@one altitude
I'm blogging about golf again but this time round it's not a picture at the range! but it's actually a fake golf course. well it's the screen of the golf simulator.
we had a department year end team bonding event held at Citygolf last night. it was pretty cool! but the feel of playing on the simulator and on the range is totally different! and I embarrassed myself quite abit :( i shouldn't have act smart and said I played golf before.
nonetheless it was a pretty fun experience! and very expensive too! but fortunately it was on the company's tab! the view at the rooftop was breathtaking too! I wish I had the money to indulge in such luxury mans. oh wells at least we get to enjoy this on the company's account so yay thank you boss!

Yoko Yoko (328/365)
For pain and relief, use Yoko Yoko! Daddy is getting old, he uses this everytime he walked too much, or moved about too much, or probably, sit in the cab too long. Some people don't like the smell of such thing buy i find them ok. I understand muscle ache and the pain. So the cooling sensation really can numb the ache for a while and it is indeed a relief. So here i am doing a advert for Yoko Yoko.

Gift (327/365)
This is my first Christmas gift-- a journal given to me by one of the bsf lady. I do adore my BSF group, and i m indeed very blessed to have such a close knitted group in my first year. I am sure my partner has mentioned BSF somewhere along her project 365. Bible Study Fellowship, also known as BSF is a group whereby people come together to learn about the bible. And this year, we learned Acts of the Apostles. Next year will be a study of the book of Genesis.
Anway, my leader gave me this book of journal to write about all of God's works and blessings in my life. I will use it in 2013.

gift from Krabi!
this is a singlet BTF bought me on a (not so) recent trip to Krabi! my sister and I love it! well yah, my sister and I share almost all our clothes. it's very comfortable and versatile! I can wear it casually with shorts for a day out at the beach, or pair it with baggy exercise pants, I can wear it to a zumba class. or I can even wear it underneath a casual boyfriend blazer with a pair of jeans and im good for a Friday dress down at work or a shopping trip at the malls ;) thank you BTF for krabi's latest in-trend fashion! (well when we were there last year, they were trending other kind of tshirts)

Danger (326/365)
I found this attached to my keyboard and i couldn't understand why. red is a very useful colour. it is used each time to warn people of danger, to catch someone's eyes. red is a eye-catching colour. i read somewhere in a magazine that a guy's eyes will stay longer on your lips when you use hot red lipstick. does that spell seductive? or dangerous.... hee hee hee...

collecting stamps
traditional snail mails are less common these days with the convenience of emails and mobile communication. I wonder if traditional mails will become obsolete one day. but as I blogged before, it always nice to receive a personalized card or letter in the mail. that feeling is very different one.
there was a period of time when I was younger that I tried collecting stamps as a hobby. it didn't last long though. i wonder if collecting stamps is still a hobby people keep. stamp collection used to be interesting cos every year there will be different stamp designs. do people even bother to design stamps these days? for the longest time, the image of the rickshaw with the beige background was the face of our local stamp!
hmm, will mr postman be out of job soon? I hope not... well at least my stamps might become valuable as an antique?

breakfast table from IKEA (325/365)
mummy got this breakfast table for me at ikea. it has proven very useful so far. i think every lazy person should have it. and no, i don't have it to really eat breakfast on the table but rather, bring my work to do onto bed, watch shows on laptop on the bed and even just use it as an extra table in the room to stack up my stuff. in order to take this picture, i had to clear alot of things in order to see the redness of the table, otherwise what u will see is only 4 stands and a pile of books and magazines on it. the table was even about to give way already mans!

zam buk!
isn't this so old school and nostalgic? I'm not sure if you've used or seen this before but it's very effective on mosquito bites and burns. my grandma used to use it on us a lot when we were little. every mosquito bite was soothe with zam bak! and the bites will stop itching and disappear very quickly! I'm not sure if it's still popular these days and whether the younger generation use this kind of old medication. will make a mental note to check if they still sell in pharmacies!

red kimono (324/365)
i saw this red kimono today and reminds me of the movie/book, memoirs of a geisha, the art of being a geisha, like how although kimono wraps up the body, but the revealing of the neck area is supposedly alluring and sexy. seductive even. hmmm, think i will download the show to watch again. such culture and art does have an impact on me.
i really wanna visit japan soon. korea too. to wear the national costume.

Not a coffee drinker (323/365)
I am not a coffee drinker. I do agree that the coffee smells great but i simply am not a fan of the taste of coffee, much less the after taste of it. but all these coffee joints love to have christmas-y looking coffee, or even come up with christmas drinks. And everything is adorned with so much redness that i couldn't resist snapping this picture.
happy preparing for the holidays! i am getting so excited....

Courts is having a year-end closedown sale at the place where there is Giant, Ikea and Courts! we couldn't resist and went down to take a look. The things are really slashed in terms of prices but we don;t have a place yet!!! darn it.... will they have such sales 2, 3 years down the road??? Please do.
this mini fridge is so cute! i won't mind putting one at my place next time, just to store drinks. okok, i admit, i just like it because it is red.

chuan bei is like the brand i go for when i developed a sore bthroat. It has been my buddy and friend since young, still is. And now, chuan bei has candy!! which makes things more convenient, just that after taking it, i think it is still not as strong as the liquid thing that i so love to drink when i have a sore throat.

I had an excursion to the google office yesterday and I was pretty psych about it the day before!
the office looks really fun! and the legendary pantry is awesome! I wish our office had such a good stock up! but I'm sure I'll grow fat if I were to work at google. besides I learnt that their breakfast and lunch are provided by the kitchen! we took a sneak peek when we were leaving. they even have like a dessert bar in the kitchen! looks like a buffet! envious much.
this is a little thumbdrive as a gift from google. quite cute. and I think i can never have enough thumbdrive. always welcome a cute one ;)

Chinese desserts - not exactly my kinda thing
actually I'm not a fan of desserts I realise. won't particularly look forward to that piece of cake after dinner. I'm still more a main course person. oh but I would definitely love ice cream. as for Chinese desserts, not particularly a fan either. i know some people will be spoilt for choice at ah chew, but I usually don't know what to order.
this is green bean soup. my mum does make them at home sometimes but it's usually force down our throat that I end up eating them. so don't have a very good association with it. at our cell events, I usually won't touch the green bean soup. but I slightly prefer green bean to red bean though.
anyway this is BTF eating her dessert after a main course of fish noodles and a popiah side dish. I was quite amused at her appetite today!

Almost coming to the end (319/365)
The dragon year is coming to an end soon, just like the project 365. before we know it, the year of snake will be here. come to think of it, dragon and snake look almost similar, just the dragon being a myth as the most powerful creature on earth, has legs. 画蛇添足 = dragon. Haha!
Anyway, dragon year has been a year of alot of babies. Chinese being Chinese are still very superstitious about dragon babies being auspicious or lucky? Even weddings, i heard! Alot of people are choosing to get married in the year of dragon so to avoid the year of snake. But i, on the other hand, am super looking forward to the year of the snake. cos i am getting married! who cares about what year is it. it's 2013!

my day started really early today! my colleague and I did market visits before our 9.30am meeting all the way in ulu mandai. and since my colleague drives, being an area we seldom go, might as well use the opportunity to do market visits. we covered 3 stores! a very productive morning!
and at one of the stores near the checkout corner this cute container with chocolates caught my attention. this froggy reminds me of one of my childhood cartoon character keroppi (is that how you spell it?) so cute and made me tempted to buy!!

Hardware shop (318/365)
I was at a hardware shop, looking for red items to take a picture of and i chanced upon this. I always wondered, is it true that only guys know how to handle such tools? is i8t true that only guys can make sense of such tools? because when i look it it, it just spells boring to me but the boy can go on and on, talking about the various uses of this. guys must have paid more attention during D&T classes when they were younger. then again. or maybe God just bui8ld them this way, to handle tools.

happy deepavali to my Hindu friends!
i don't have a deepavali related picture so thought I post this instead. well Indians are known to be very good drinkers you see =p our Indian friends openly declare that among themselves so I'm not being racist here. apparently there's some study that showed that there's something in the genetic make up of Indians who make them more tolerant to alcohol. not sure how reliable the research is.
I'm just thankful for a public holiday! so this is a really short week! enjoy!

Mr and Mrs (317/365)
The red part of the cup is inside! Pardon my not so good photo taking skills. You know it is not easy to try to take a picture secretly in someone's shop. You appear to be suspicious when u secretly take a picture like that.
anyway, wedding bells are ringing in office and my colleague was asking me what kind of gift she should get for another colleague. I told her can get the Mr and Mrs cups... and then i chanced upon this. there is even a bible verse inside the cup. i like it!

drug awareness campaign?
it started with this green ribbon campaign in primary school and I remember literally wearing a green and white ribbon on our pinafores. I think this is a drug awareness campaign. can't really remember though. nowadays, there's so many different colour campaigns. there's the yellow ribbon project, there's pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness etc.
so this is supposed to be a green ribbon pin, sorry the colour turn out bluish. but well, this post is to show how these kind of initiatives have involved and sprout up over the years. so what cause are you supporting?

Quiznos@changi airport
I blogged about Quiznos before and raving at how much I love it, especially the free flow honey mustard sauce. so after sending my friend off at the airport, I had set my mind to go to terminal 1 and have my Quiznos! well Quiznos have very few branches in Singapore and now that I've changed office, I haven't been eating Quiznos.
what a disappointment I got though :( apparently the Quiznos at the airport is of a different franchise as the one I usually patronize at novena and now more recently the citylink one. firstly the selection of bread is only between white or wheat. If I want my usual Parmesan bread, i'll have to pay an extra 50cents. what?! ok it's only 60 cents but still! at the other branches i get to choose from 4 different types of bread at no extra cost!
in addition, they do not have the sauces that is largely the thing I love about Quiznos. they only serve free flow chilli sauce. what the hell -_- no honey mustard, no red wine vinaigrette :( im so upset. the changi airport franchise should really look into their offerings and customer service. I am a dissatisfied customer!

Gummy bear from candylicious (315/365)
I got cheated! I bought gummies from candylicious, seeing that it is 100g for $5. I was thinking to myself, were gummies always so expensive to begin with? Because in the past, when i was still a very young girl, i would pester my mum to get it, not knowing how much she paid for it. I was feeling guilty when i paid $5 for a packet of 100g gummies (only a few pieces somemore!) because i thought i wasted alot of my mum's money.
Little did i know, gummies from Candylicious are expensive!!! normal price from 7-11 can get $2.50 for 100g or if you go mini toons, you can even get it below $2, i heard. oh my!!!!

Wafflelicious
its probably cos of the lighting and the camera but the ice cream is pistachio and it supposed to be green. it looked green in real live! haha.
so my friends and I made a trip down to Thomson and had supper at Wafflelicious. our initial objective was to try out little pancakes but they changed their opening hours and close earlier than was stated online. so we had to settle for Wafflelicious which opened till 1am.
it was disappointing though. the ice cream felt too icy and not rich enough. the waffles was flat and bland. we had the chocolate as well as the blueberry waffles. both were so-so, not anything to rave about. my friends and i unanimously agreed that we will not be coming back again..

Artwork (314/365)
I am assigned to take care of the children in my cell today and i prepared christmas artwork for them. Seriously, i', never good at taking care of children, much less plan a lesson or activity for them. I thought artwork was the easiest and also what can be so difficult with some coloring and cutting and gluing.
Oh boy, how wrong i was. For one, the kids' ages was ranged from 1 year to 11 years old. They hated coloring. Someone even commented that coloring was only meant for kindergarten and that she outgrew of it. I had a 4 year old only interested in cutting and gluing. She of course made a mess of herself, glue everywhere, even sticking her pants. So with no control over the children, all running about, throwing ball they found in the room, i decided to do this piece of artwork myself. I think i looked pitiful enough because 2 of them came to help me after that. And now, this pretty thing is hanging on my door in my house, courtesy of 2 of the kids.
Oh boy, how wrong i was. For one, the kids' ages was ranged from 1 year to 11 years old. They hated coloring. Someone even commented that coloring was only meant for kindergarten and that she outgrew of it. I had a 4 year old only interested in cutting and gluing. Robinsons member sale (313/365)
This is exclusive private sale, only meant for Robinsons member. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Robinsons member. My colleague is though and i understand that all members who were sent an exclusive invitation get to go into such sale and they can bring along 4 persons of their choice. Lucky me!
I have to admit, the things are all really cheaper and good. BUT! Robinsons stuff are never cheap to begin with so after the sale, it is steep discount but still costly for that item. Then again, if you go for certain brands of working shirt or if you want to buy gifts for Christmas, this kind of sale should not be missed!

Artificial plant (312/365)
I saw this red fig looking thing near the elevator today. I think it serves as an ornament. Its redness is so catching that i had to take a quick picture of it before i got on the elevator.
I understand that shopping centres or even offices sometimes use artificial plants as a ornament but i simply don't get it why households will use such decorations. Maybe it is the love for plants yet don't want to maintain it or it could be people who likes plants to be other colours, other than green.
oh well..

it's another recycling bin!
as with alot of my other post, I'm an advocate for environmental friendly measures. I wish there were more recycling bins around! or more like whenever I need a recycle bin, i don't see it but when I don't need it, it's everywhere.
I'm glad to see that there are more recycling efforts around but i think Singaporeans still need to be educated about it. let's hope our citizens can be as civic minded as the Taiwanese and Japanese where they sort out their rubbish into recyclables and nonrecyclables. towards a greener earth!

Decorations everywhere (311/365)
If you go down the streets in the city area or even when you are in a shopping centre, you are bound to see decorations like these. It is the "preparing for christmas" season! And this is the season for us-- redstripesgreencircles! Everything is in red and green, how could we not help but keep taking christmasy stuff for the whole month of november and december! (i'm not saying we would)
Christmas is my favourite season! all the redness around makes me very very happy!

Bag holder
I like shopping at daiso and this was one of the random things i bought. I wanted to get a bag holder then but all those pretty ones were so expensive! like 10bucks. that was quite some time back when bag holders were still a novelty. These days you can get them really cheap and some look really fancy with gems on them.
This is one of the ugliest bag holder i've ever seen so far! i wonder what got into my mind for buying this! i never brought it out to use at all! but fortunately my sister found some use for them! to hang some random barangs in our room!
